About Tarak H. Patel

Tarak H. Patel, MD is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon at Seattle Plastic Surgery, double board certified in plastic surgery and general surgery. Originally from New York, he attended the United States Military Academy at West Point, was commissioned in the U.S. Army and earned his medical degree at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. He completed general surgery residency at Tripler Army Medical Center, deployed on a Forward Surgical Team in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, and completed plastic surgery residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He served twenty-five years in the U.S. Army and retired as a Colonel, receiving the Legion of Merit, the Combat Medical Badge and the Meritorious Service Medal. He was voted best cosmetic surgeon in Best of the South Sound in 2019, 2020 and 2022.
