About Silvia Bentancor
Dr. Silvia S. Bentancor is the Medical Director at Icon Cosmetic Center and a specialist in Internal Medicine with over two decades of experience. Born in Uruguay, she earned a degree in Biology in 1994 and graduated from the School of Medicine of the Republic of Uruguay in 2003, then trained at Coney Island Hospital in New York where she served as Chief Resident from 2007 to 2010. She holds accreditation from the American Board of Internal Medicine, issued in 2010 and recertified in 2021, along with a Florida medical license and BLS/ACLS certifications. Since 2010 she has worked as a Hospitalist and Clinical Leader at HCA Florida Kendall Hospital, and previously served as a Surgical Assistant at the Miami Cosmetic Center for Hair Restoration and Cosmetic Surgery. She is fluent in Spanish and English.
