About Shankar Lakshman
Dr. Shankar Lakshman is a board certified plastic surgeon and is also board certified in surgery of the hand. He began his training in one of the busiest trauma centers in the nation with three years of general surgery residency, followed by a year and a half in a burn and wound care fellowship at the same institution. He then completed a year-long hand and microvascular fellowship and a two-year residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery covering craniofacial trauma, pediatric congenital anomalies, and the full range of cosmetic surgery. He has contributed to numerous peer-reviewed articles, taught surgical residents and students, and participated in over 20 clinical research trials. His Pasadena practice is dedicated to the Booty By Lakshman and the Mommy Makeover.
