About Robert Caridi
Robert Caridi, MD, FACS is a plastic surgeon in Austin, Texas and the founder of Austin Gynecomastia Center, which he opened in 2010 as a gynecomastia-focused offshoot of his Westlake Plastic Surgery practice. He earned a bachelor's degree in biology with honors from the University of Texas at Austin and his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in 1985, then completed his internship, residency, and fellowship in general and plastic and reconstructive surgery in the Mount Sinai Hospital system in New York between 1985 and 1992. He has been a diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery since 1994 and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons since 1996. He has practiced privately for more than 35 years and has published peer-reviewed research on gynecomastia diagnosis and complete glandular tissue removal. The center reports he performs over 400 gynecomastia cases a year and has treated more than 6,000.
