About Melissa Marks
Dr. Melissa Marks founded Signature Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, PLLC in Palm Beach, Florida in 2018, and relocated the practice to Charlotte, North Carolina with her family in 2023. She is a double board certified plastic surgeon with over 15 years of surgical experience, certified by the American Board of Osteopathic Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Florida with a bachelor''s in Microbiology and Cell Science, earned her medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine finishing in the top 5 percent of her class, and completed a five-year General Surgery Residency at McLaren Macomb Hospital as Chief Surgical Resident. She completed a three-year fellowship in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. She is a published author in Facial Plastic Surgery Clinics of North America and The American Journal of Cosmetic Surgery and maintains active staff privileges at Novant Health and CaroMont Regional Medical Center.
