About Mark A. Foglietti
Dr. Mark A. Foglietti was born in Steubenville, Ohio and raised in Mingo Junction, Ohio, and attended The Ohio State University for his Bachelor of Science before completing medical school at Ohio University, where he now serves as a Clinical Professor in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He completed general surgery training in Columbus and a plastic surgery residency at The Plastic Surgery Institute in Des Moines, Iowa, where he served as Chief Resident, followed by a fellowship in cosmetic surgery and reconstructive surgery of the breast in Cleveland. He founded the Cosmetic Surgery Institute in Beachwood, Ohio in 2000, and the practice became Foglietti-Fostyk Plastic Surgery when his daughter Dr. Alanna Foglietti Fostyk joined in 2018. He was Chief of Staff and Chief of Plastic Surgery at Mt. Sinai Medical Center East and is Director of the plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at Cleveland Clinic South Pointe Hospital. As an inventor he held three U.S. patents on improved breast implants and received a registered trademark for the Foglietti Natural Vector Facelift Technique in 2009.
