About John Hilinski

John M. Hilinski, MD is a double board-certified facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon in San Diego, California, where he has owned and directed his private practice since 2005. A San Diego native, he earned his medical degree from Harvard Medical School, completed a general surgery internship at UCSD Medical Center and the VA Medical Center, and finished his residency and chief residency in head and neck surgery at UC San Diego, earning the Chairman's Award and the Outstanding Resident Academic Achievement Award. He completed a fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Illinois, Chicago College of Medicine. His practice is limited to the face, with a focus on primary and revision rhinoplasty including ethnic rhinoplasty and nasal tip refinement, otoplasty and macrotia reduction, facelift, blepharoplasty, facial reconstruction after trauma or cancer, and injectable treatments. He is owner and medical director of The Hilinski Ambulatory Surgery Center, served as facial plastic surgery consultant to the San Diego Chargers from 2005 to 2017, and co-founded The Hilinski Foundation for Surgery in 2010.
