About Gabriel M. Kind

Gabriel M. Kind, MD, FACS is a plastic surgeon and co-principal of Kind | Chang Plastic Surgery in San Francisco. He graduated with honors from Dartmouth College and earned his medical degree at Northwestern University Medical School, then completed general surgery training at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke's, a three-year plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at Northwestern-McGaw, and a one-year hand and microsurgery fellowship at Davies Medical Center in San Francisco. He was among the first surgeons to perform the DIEP flap for breast reconstruction on the West Coast. He is an Associate Clinical Professor in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at UCSF and currently serves as a Director and Chairman of the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He was named Best Plastic Surgeon in San Francisco by J Magazine for eleven consecutive years from 2012 to 2023.
