About Erik Nuveen

Dr. Erik J. Nuveen is a triple board-certified cosmetic surgeon and the founder of Cosmetic Surgery Affiliates, which he created in 2003 after purchasing the practice from a retiring surgeon. He attended the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, began his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at UCLA Harbor Medical Center and completed it at Case Western Reserve University, where he also earned his medical degree, then added a year of general surgery at Hershey Penn State Medical Center and a fellowship in general and facial cosmetic surgery in Salt Lake City. The practice states he has performed more than 26,000 major cosmetic surgeries since 2003, with particular focus on massive weight loss body contouring and facial restoration. He is an accredited fellowship director and participates in residency education with the University of Oklahoma Health Center's Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and has published ten textbook chapters and 28 first-author papers. He is also founder and co-CEO of Olympus Cosmetic Group.
