About Amy K. Alderman

Dr. Amy K. Alderman is a plastic surgeon who founded North Atlanta Plastic Surgery in Alpharetta, Georgia, in spring 2018 with anesthesiologist Dr. Aida Joiner. She graduated at the top of her class at the University of Alabama–Birmingham School of Medicine with early membership in Alpha Omega Alpha, and was one of two applicants accepted into the integrated plastic surgery residency at the University of Michigan, at the time one of only three accredited integrated programs in the United States. During training she was accepted into the Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholars fellowship and earned a Master of Public Health. She joined the University of Michigan faculty, was promoted to tenured associate professor of plastic surgery, and served as director of its Cosmetic Center for Plastic Surgery over six years on faculty before moving to Atlanta in 2010. She is board certified by and serves as a director of the American Board of Plastic Surgery, chairing its ethics committee and serving as an examiner. Her focus is cosmetic breast and body contouring surgery, and she has given over 200 educational lectures and chaired national aesthetic meetings including Aesthetica, the ASPS Spring Meeting and the Atlanta Breast Symposium.
