About Al Aly
Dr. Al Aly is a plastic surgeon in Dallas, Texas specializing in body contouring after massive weight loss and complex rhinoplasty. He trained originally in otolaryngology, completed a facial plastic surgery fellowship focused on rhinoplasty, then retrained by completing a plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at the University of Miami. While on faculty at the University of Iowa he pioneered the field of body contouring after massive weight loss and published the first textbook dedicated to the subject in 2006. He later served as vice-chair of plastic surgery at UC Irvine and section head of plastic surgery at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi before joining UT Southwestern in Dallas as a full professor in November 2020.
