About Aida Joiner

Dr. Aida Joiner is the anesthesiologist at North Atlanta Plastic Surgery in Alpharetta, Georgia, which she co-founded with plastic surgeon Dr. Amy K. Alderman in spring 2018. An Atlanta native, she graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia with a degree in biochemistry, was president of the medical honor society, and gained early admission to the Medical College of Georgia School of Medicine. After a rotational surgical internship she completed her anesthesiology residency at Emory University and affiliated hospitals, including Grady Memorial, Crawford Long, Egleston Children's and the Atlanta VA. She then spent ten years in metro Atlanta hospitals before starting her own practice with two colleagues specializing in outpatient surgery for plastic surgery cases. She personally administers anesthesia to each patient rather than directing CRNAs or physician assistants, and the practice states she is more than 24 years past completing her residency.
