He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Louisville School of Medicine and completed A surgery internship at the University of Tennessee in Memphis as well as four years of residency training in Otolaryngology (Ear Nose and Throat specialist/Head & Neck Surgery) at the University of Kentucky. As a practicing Otolaryngologist, Dr. Pruden took a particular interest in skin disease and skin cancer, so he went back to do A 3 year dermatology residency at St. Louis University and a yearlong Dermatopathology fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis. Since graduation from these programs, Dr. Pruden went on to become board certified in Dermatology, Dermatopathology, and Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery (MOHS).
