Dr. Bruce Barton is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and holds a Certificate of Added Qualification, Surgery of the Hand. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, American Association of Hand Surgeons and The Johns Hopkins Medical and Surgical Association and is the current President of the Kentucky Society of Plastic Surgeons, elected by his peers. His undergraduate and medical education were received at the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland and the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions in East Baltimore. He has done research laboratory work in DNA replication and molecular cell biology. With over 20 years of surgical experience, Dr. Bruce Barton is the founder of Body Spectrum Plastic Surgery Center of Lexington, Kentucky. He is a native of New York and has practiced in the Commonwealth since 1992. He graduated with honors from The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland.
