About Samuel Pruden

Samuel J. Pruden, II, MD, FACS is the physician at Skin MD in Lexington, Kentucky. A Kentucky native from Henderson County, he graduated summa cum laude from the University of Louisville School of Medicine, completed a surgery internship at the University of Tennessee in Memphis and four years of residency in otolaryngology and head and neck surgery at the University of Kentucky, then a three-year dermatology residency at St. Louis University and a one-year dermatopathology fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis. He is board certified in dermatology, dermatopathology and micrographic dermatologic surgery, and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. His practice covers general dermatology, Mohs surgery, dermatopathology, photodynamic therapy and a cosmetic line.
