Vinod K. Jindal, MD, FACS is a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained retina specialist who founded New Century Ophthalmology in Oxford, North Carolina, in 2001 and serves as its Medical Director. He earned his medical degree at Punjabi University Medical School in India, holds a Diplomate in Ophthalmology and a Master of Ophthalmic Surgery from Mangalore University, and completed an internal medicine internship at New York Hospital Medical Center of Cornell and ophthalmology residency at the Alton Ochsner Medical Foundation in New Orleans. He was a postdoctoral research fellow at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia and a clinical fellow in vitreoretinal diseases and surgery at Southern Eye Associates in Raleigh. The practice states he has performed more than 30,000 procedures and introduced advanced cataract and glaucoma techniques to Granville, Vance and Warren counties.
