About Steven Cohen

Dr. Steven R. Cohen is an internationally known plastic surgeon and founder of FACES+ in San Diego. He trained in general surgery at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center and Dartmouth, completed a two-year cardiac surgery fellowship at NIH, then a plastic surgery residency at the University of Pennsylvania/Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, followed by a craniofacial and facial plastic surgery fellowship under Dr. Henry Kawamoto at UCLA. He directed the Craniofacial Program at the University of Michigan, was Co-Director of the Center for Craniofacial Disorders at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, then became Chief of Craniofacial Surgery at Children's Hospital of San Diego in 1999, where he founded FACES+. He is a Clinical Professor at UCSD, has authored 170+ publications, and holds patents in regenerative-medicine devices.
