About Shauna Higgins
Dr. Shauna Higgins is a dermatologist at Metropolis Dermatology's downtown Los Angeles office. Born and raised in Los Angeles, she studied human biology and business economics at Brown University while simultaneously studying photography at the Rhode Island School of Design, then earned her MD from the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine. She completed internal medicine training in the Yale-New Haven Health System and her dermatology residency at the USC and LA County Hospitals program, where she served as chief resident. She has conducted melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancer research at USC and the University of Nebraska Medical Center and has authored dozens of publications, several book chapters, and more than 30 abstracts.
