About Sarah Mess
Sarah A. Mess, MD, FACS is a plastic surgeon who has practiced in Columbia, Maryland since 2005 and is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. She earned a BA in biology from the University of Pennsylvania in 1994 and her medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in 1999, then completed a six-year integrated plastic surgery residency at Georgetown University Hospital in 2005. She serves as an instructor of aesthetic surgery at Georgetown University Hospital and an instructor of plastic surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital, and is a contributing editor to Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Her practice covers breast, body and facial surgery alongside injectables and laser treatments, performed at an on-site AAAASF-accredited surgery center. She has authored more than 25 peer-reviewed publications, with a focus on fat-transfer technique, injection safety and ultrasound-guided facial injection.
