About Richard Tyrell
Dr. Richard Tyrell is a double board-certified plastic surgeon at Rivé Plastic Surgery in Reno known for aesthetic and reconstructive procedures of the head and neck. Along with Dr. Eva Dentcheva, he co-established the microsurgery program at the Sentara Health System in Norfolk and Virginia Beach, and headed the craniofacial curriculum in the EVMS integrated plastic surgery residency. He earned his medical degree from Ross University, completed a General Surgery Residency at Hofstra University, a Plastic Surgery Residency at Temple University, and a Craniofacial and Pediatric Plastic Surgery Fellowship at the University of Utah. During his plastic surgery training he was selected as administrative chief and achieved the highest plastic surgery examination score in the program for all three years. He belongs to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, The Aesthetic Society, the American College of Surgeons, and AO Foundation CMF.
