Dr. Richard J. Burkett is a native of Southern Mississippi who practices cosmetic and reconstructive surgery in Mansfield, Texas. He graduated with special distinction from Mississippi State University in 1977 and attended the University of Mississippi Medical School, graduating in 1981. He completed a general surgery residency through Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas and Providence Hospital in Southfield, Michigan in 1986, followed by further training in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the Medical College of Virginia. He has been in private practice in the DFW Metroplex for over 20 years and is a member of the active staff of Methodist Hospitals of Dallas, North Texas Surgery Center, and Baylor Surgicare at Mansfield.
