About Reza Najafian

Dr. Reza Najafian was born in Isfahan, Iran, and completed medical school at IUMS before working in remote areas of Iran as a primary care and emergency physician. He moved to the US for a post-doctoral research fellowship at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, then completed general surgery training followed by plastic and reconstructive surgery training at OHSU in Portland. He joined the private practice of Dr. Mark Jewell in Eugene, Oregon in 2022 and, following Dr. Jewell's retirement, opened his solo practice in January 2024. He has published over 30 peer-reviewed manuscripts and 3 book chapters and has presented at over 20 international meetings.
