About R. McIntyre Bridges Jr.
Dr. R. McIntyre Bridges Jr. is a board certified plastic surgeon and the director of Bridges to Beauty in Shreveport, Louisiana, specializing in cosmetic surgery, advanced injection techniques, laser therapy and age management medicine. He received his undergraduate degree from Texas Christian University in 1979 and his medical degree from Duke University Medical Center, where he performed research on immunotherapy for melanoma. He completed a General Surgery residency and a one-year Burn Research Fellowship at LSU Medical Center in Shreveport, then a Plastic, Reconstructive and Cosmetic Surgery residency at the University of Virginia followed by a Hand and Burn Fellowship in 1992. He was LSU Medical Center first Chief of Plastic and Microvascular Surgery and served as an assistant professor in the Orthopedics Department. He was the first cosmetic surgeon to offer Botox injections in the Ark-La-Tex area.
