Peter Fodor, MD

About Peter Fodor

Peter B. Fodor, MD, FACS is an internationally recognized aesthetic plastic surgeon, double board certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery, with over 30 years of experience. Born a Hungarian national in Romania, he immigrated to the United States, learned English as an adult, and graduated first in his class from the University of Wisconsin Medical School three years after his arrival. He interned at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, followed by general surgery and plastic surgery residencies at Columbia's St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital. He pioneered or contributed significantly to modern liposuction techniques including VASER, Power Assisted Suction and Superficial Liposuction, documented in dozens of peer-reviewed articles. He is a past president of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and of the Lipoplasty Society of North America, and serves as a Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery at UCLA.
