About Michael Friedman
Michael Friedman, MD is the medical director of Chicago ENT (Head & Neck and Cosmetic Surgery Associates, Ltd.) and has practiced otolaryngology in Chicago since 1977. He earned his BA from Yeshiva University and his medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine, completed an internship at Illinois Masonic Medical Center, and finished residencies in surgery and in otolaryngology–head and neck surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He began his career at UIC as associate professor, moved to Rush University Medical Center in 1990 as professor of otolaryngology–head and neck surgery and chairman of the section of sleep surgery, and left Rush in 2017. He is currently chairman of otolaryngology–head and neck surgery at Advocate Aurora Illinois Masonic Medical Center. He is a nationally recognized expert in head and neck cancer, endoscopic sinus surgery, thyroid and parathyroid surgery and sleep disorders, and has published more than 200 scientific articles along with book chapters and textbooks on snoring, sleep apnea and thyroid surgery.
