About Mennen Gallas

Mennen T. Gallas, MD, FACS is the founder and medical director of Gallas Plastic Surgery & Vein Center in Katy, Texas, which he has led for over 20 years. He earned a BS in Biology from the University of Michigan and an MS in Applied Physiology and his MD from the Chicago Medical School. He completed over five years of general surgery residency at Baylor College of Medicine, then a two-year plastic surgery residency at St. Joseph Hospital, where he trained with Dr. Frank Gerow, one of the two inventors of the silicone breast implant, and fellowship training in reconstructive microsurgery at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. He is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and places all of the practice's injectables himself. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the Texas Medical Association, the Harris County Medical Society and the Michael E. DeBakey International Surgical Society, and has been named one of America's Top Plastic Surgeons by the Consumers' Research Council of America and a Texas Super Doctor by Texas Monthly.
