About Mark Schoemann
Dr. Mark Schoemann is a double board-certified and craniofacial fellowship-trained plastic surgeon serving Encinitas and the surrounding communities with surgical and nonsurgical cosmetic services. Prior to specializing in cosmetic surgery he was a pediatric plastic surgeon, and he previously served as an assistant professor of plastic surgery at Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine. He holds membership with the Southeastern Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. In 2012 he served as medical director of Operation Smile's Comprehensive Cleft Care Centre in Guwahati, India, where he oversaw 2,500 cleft surgeries.
