About Kate Chiasson
Dr. Kate Chiasson is a plastic surgeon and founder of Ford Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She is double board certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and is trained in both reconstructive and cosmetic surgery for men, women and children. A native of Baton Rouge, she completed undergraduate studies at Washington and Lee University and earned her medical degree at LSU School of Medicine in Shreveport. She completed a five-year general surgery residency at the Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans and a three-year fellowship in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She has a special interest in breast reconstruction and has presented at national meetings and published on the subject.
