About Joseph A. Costa
Dr. Joseph A. Costa is a Staten Island native and plastic surgeon known for his scholarly contributions, including publications in medical journals and speaking engagements at conferences such as the American Society of Plastic Surgery. He performs facial and body cosmetic surgery including facelifts, blepharoplasty, rhinoplasty and mommy makeovers, along with injectables such as Botox and dermal fillers. His breast work spans augmentation, mastopexy, reduction and reconstruction with microsurgical and implant-based options, and he specializes in post-bariatric body contouring including abdominoplasty, brachioplasty and medial thigh lifts. He also performs complex reconstructive surgery of the lower extremity, perineum and abdominal wall, and hand surgery including endoscopic carpal tunnel release. He completed his General Surgery residency at Staten Island University Hospital and a fellowship at Temple University Hospital, and has volunteered on a mission trip to Neiva, Colombia with Healing the Children.
