About John Mesa
Dr. John Mesa is a Harvard-trained, triple-fellowship, board-certified plastic surgeon practicing in New York City, New Jersey, and Miami. He specializes in buccal fat removal, extended chin liposuction, facelift, neck lift, facial masculinization, and eyelid surgery, performed on fully awake patients under local anesthesia. He grew up in Medellin, Colombia, graduating cum laude and second in his class from the University of Antioquia School of Medicine, then trained for fourteen continuous years across Harvard, Penn State, the University of Michigan, and the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He is the author of Atlas of Operative Craniofacial Surgery (Thieme, 2019) along with more than twelve peer-reviewed papers.
