About James Koch
R. James Koch, MD is a Stanford-trained, double board-certified facial plastic surgeon with over 25 years of experience, and founder of Koch Facial Plastic Surgery in San Mateo, California. He formerly served as Associate Professor and Director of the Division of Facial Plastic Surgery at Stanford University, where he also directed the facial plastic surgery fellowship and wound healing laboratory. He is known for popularizing the in-office ("awake") facelift technique.
