George Kamel

About George Kamel

George Kamel, MD is the plastic and reconstructive surgeon who leads GK Plastic Surgery in South Florida, with specialised expertise in craniofacial and pediatric plastic surgery. He earned his medical degree at Penn State College of Medicine and completed residency training in general surgery and plastic surgery at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Medical Center in New York, followed by a craniofacial fellowship at Harvard and Massachusetts General Hospital with research in regenerative medicine and cleft lip and palate. He serves as Surgical Director of Pediatric Craniofacial and Plastic Surgery at Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital, leading a multidisciplinary cleft and craniofacial team. He has received a research grant from the Plastic Surgery Foundation, has published papers and book chapters, and serves on committees within the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
