About Edgardo Zavala

Edgardo Zavala-Alarcon, M.D. founded Ciao Bella Medical Spa & Vein Clinic in Chandler, Arizona in December 2007, which expanded in 2012 into a three-operating-room accredited surgical center and rebranded as Ciao Bella Cosmetic Surgery. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and has held certification with the American Board of Vascular Medicine, the American Board of Echocardiography, and the American Board of Phlebology. He received his Medical Degree Summa Cum Laude from the National Autonomous University in Mexico City in 1977, then completed specialization in General Surgery and Internal Medicine and fellowships in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology at the National Institute of Cardiology in Mexico City. After moving to the U.S. he completed a second Internal Medicine residency at Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix and became chief of Cardiology at both Maricopa Medical Center and Phoenix Memorial Hospital. He completed a fellowship in Cosmetic Surgery at Baja Plastic Surgery & Med Spa Center from 2003 to 2007.
