About Dzi-Long Newman
Dzi-Long Newman is a board certified physician assistant at Newman Plastic Surgery. She received her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Cell Science from the University of Florida and continued there for a Master's degree in Physician Assistant Sciences in 2000. She began her career at Tampa General Hospital as part of the Hand and Microsurgery Team, training in evaluation and treatment of hand-related injuries and disorders as well as microsurgery, flaps, wound repair and suturing of traumatic lacerations. After moving to North Carolina she worked in a dermatology practice focused on skin care, general medical and surgical dermatology, and skin cancer treatment. She attends continuing medical education in plastic and reconstructive surgery, dermatologic surgery and cosmetic medicine.
