About Daniel Shapiro

Daniel I. Shapiro, MD, FACS, is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and has practiced cosmetic surgery in the Scottsdale and Paradise Valley, Arizona area since 1992. He is an Assistant Professor in Plastic Surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester and Director of Aesthetic Surgery Training for the Mayo Rochester Plastic Surgery Residency, and was awarded Teacher of the Year for that program in 2018. He is a past President of the Maricopa Society of Plastic Surgeons and was named to Newsweek's America's Best Plastic Surgeons lists in 2020, 2022, 2024, and 2025. He trained in plastic surgery at New York Hospital/Cornell Medical Center, and in 2009-2010 trained with Dr. Hoyos in Bogota, Colombia to bring Hi-Definition liposculpture to Arizona. In 1999 he developed the Paradise Valley Skin Klinic, an in-house medical spa.
