About Bob Basu

Bob Basu, MD, MBA, MPH, FACS is a plastic surgeon and the founder of Basu Aesthetics + Plastic Surgery in Houston and Cypress, Texas. He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and serves as president of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He graduated magna cum laude from Princeton University, earned his MD and MPH at Tufts University School of Medicine, completed general surgery training at George Washington University Medical Center and plastic surgery training at Baylor College of Medicine's Michael E. DeBakey Department of Surgery, and later earned an MBA from Brandeis University. The practice reports more than 18,000 cosmetic and reconstructive procedures performed. He co-authored the textbook Cosmetic Breast Surgery, published by Thieme in 2020.
