About Ankit Desai

Dr. Ankit Desai is a board-certified plastic surgeon and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons with more than 15 years of experience in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery, and is an owner of Florida Plastic Surgery Group. He serves as Lead Plastic Surgeon at Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center and has held leadership roles including Chief of Plastic Surgery at Baptist Jacksonville, Baptist Beaches, and St. Vincent's Riverside, and Chief of Surgery and Chief of Staff at Baptist South Hospital. A Jacksonville native, he earned his MD at the University of Florida College of Medicine, completed plastic and reconstructive surgery residency and general surgery training at Saint Louis University, and finished an aesthetic surgery fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. His practice focuses on microsurgical and implant-based breast reconstruction, body contouring, and facial rejuvenation, and he has been continuously board-certified since 2009.
