Shepherd Eye Center is an ophthalmology practice founded in Las Vegas in 1968 by John R. Shepherd, MD, who pioneered techniques and instrumentation for cataract surgery. It operates five offices across Las Vegas and Henderson, Nevada, and performs more cataract surgeries at its on-site Shepherd Eye Surgicenter than any other eye practice in the state. The surgery center is state-licensed, Medicare-approved and accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care. Alongside cataract, LASIK, glaucoma and retina care, the practice runs an oculoplastic and cosmetic service offering cosmetic eyelid surgery, ptosis repair, eyelid reconstruction, Botox and dermal fillers. The group is affiliated with Comprehensive Eye Care Partners.
