She earned her medical degree from Dartmouth's Geisel School of Medicine after graduate work in neuroscience and psychology, trained in surgery at Harvard Medical School/Beth Israel Hospital under Dr. Robert Goldwyn, and completed her plastic surgery residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center followed by a research fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital.
