Dr. Melanie Petro is a facial plastic surgeon practicing in the Birmingham, Alabama area (Vestavia Hills), quadruple board-certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, the American Board of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery, and the American Board of Venous & Lymphatic Medicine. She earned her medical degree from the University of Mississippi, completed a head and neck/otolaryngology residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, and completed a cosmetic surgery fellowship at the McCollough Plastic Surgery Clinic, where she later served as Medical Director of the MedSpa. Her practice focuses on facial rejuvenation, including facelift, necklift, browlift, blepharoplasty, and rhinoplasty, as well as injectables and laser and skin treatments, and she is the practice's only full-time injector.
