Origin Medicine is an integrative and functional medicine practice in Tacoma, Washington, led by family nurse practitioner Michelle "Mitch" Sandwisch, who completed her nurse practitioner degree at Georgetown University and came to functional medicine through her own Crohn disease diagnosis. She is certified through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, with coursework at the Institute for Functional Medicine and advanced training in the Bredesen Protocol and peptide, hyperbaric and IV therapies. The practice's service lines cover functional and preventive medicine, metabolic health, autoimmune disorders, brain health, thyroid disorders, and men's and women's health. It also runs TransformFit, a body recomposition and weight loss program including GLP-1 prescription management, alongside Emsculpt Neo and Emsella treatments, IV hydration therapy and a BrainTap-based relaxation session. The clinic is open Monday through Thursday and is accepting new patients.
