J. Douglas Cusick, MD, FACS is a solo plastic surgery practice based in Leawood, Kansas, founded by Dr. Cusick, a Kansas City native. Dr. Cusick earned his MD from Oral Roberts University School of Medicine in 1986, completed a general surgery residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center in 1990, and completed a plastic surgery residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center in 1992, where he still serves as a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Plastic Surgery. He is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and has served as President and Treasurer of the Kansas City Plastic Surgery Society. He has also participated in more than 40 international medical mission trips providing reconstructive surgery to children.
