About Amir M. Karam, M.D

Amir M. Karam, MD is a double board-certified facial plastic surgeon practising in the Carmel Valley area of San Diego, California, where he established his practice to focus solely on facial rejuvenation. He is certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery, serves on the clinical faculty at UC San Diego, and is a staff surgeon at the San Diego VA Medical Center. He developed the Vertical Restore and Vertical Prevent techniques, which reposition facial soft tissues against the direction of aging and combine fat transfer to replace lost volume, and the practice states he has performed more than 7,000 facial rejuvenation procedures. Surgery is carried out on site at the AAAASF-accredited Carmel Valley Surgical Center, and the practice draws patients nationally and internationally through dedicated out-of-town patient and recovery retreat programmes.
