About Scott M. Smith
Scott M. Smith is a doctor of medical science, board-certified physician assistant and former U.S. Army officer with more than 25 years of clinical experience, practicing at Central Florida Functional Medicine in Oviedo, Florida. He graduated from the University of Nebraska Interservice Physician Assistant Program and earned his Doctor of Medical Science from Butler University, with early career work in gastroenterology and dermatology before moving full-time into functional and lifestyle medicine in 2003. His clinical interests include methylation disorders, mitochondrial dysfunction, autoimmune disease and gastrointestinal health. He has authored and presented papers on hyperbaric oxygen therapy, PANDAS, and biomarker research in autism and ADHD, and is a member of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine and the Institute for Functional Medicine.
