About Riyaz Hassanali

Dr. Riyaz Hassanali is a cosmetic dermatologic surgeon and the founder and medical director of the Advanced Cosmetic Surgery Center in Buffalo, New York, which he established in 1991. He completed his medical education at the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine, followed by a residency in dermatology at the University of Buffalo Consortium Hospitals, and was then selected for a fellowship in cosmetic surgery with Thomas Alt, MD, a past president of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and a leader in hair restoration surgery. His surgical practice centers on hair transplantation for male and female pattern baldness, together with blepharoplasty, liposuction, fat grafting and dermabrasion, alongside a non-surgical menu of neurotoxins, soft-tissue fillers, Contour Thread lifts, peels, intense pulsed light and Thermage. He is a member of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the American Society of Cosmetic Dermatology and Aesthetic Surgery, and states that he is the only physician in Western New York certified in the Contour Thread procedure.
