About Patrick Lee Shannon

Patrick Lee Shannon, MD is a board-certified Mohs micrographic dermatologic surgeon and dermatologist who joined Advanced Dermatology and Skin Cancer Center in January 2002 and is identified by the practice as a co-founder. He earned his medical degree at the Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine in 1995 and completed an internal medicine internship and dermatology residency at the University of Florida. He graduated cum laude with honors in biology, was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha and received the Excellence in Anatomy Award in 1991. He serves as Principal Investigator for the practice's affiliated clinical research arm, Optima Research, and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Mohs Surgery.
