About Michael J. Richard
Dr. Michael J. Richard is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in oculofacial plastic and reconstructive surgery, with more than 20 years of experience in cosmetic and functional eyelid and facial surgery. He joined Dr. Janet M. Neigel at EltraSelf in Florham Park in 2016, coming from the Duke Eye Center in Durham, North Carolina, where he was an Assistant Professor with appointments in both the Department of Ophthalmology and the Department of Plastic Surgery. He earned a B.A. in Human Biology from Stanford University and his M.D. with honors from Boston University School of Medicine, completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and an oculoplastic surgery fellowship at Duke University. He also performs non-surgical facial rejuvenation with lasers, neuromodulators, and injectable fillers.
