About Michael Byun
Michael Byun, MD, is a plastic surgeon and the founder and director of Chicago Cosmetic Surgery and the BION Medica Skin Care Clinic, practicing in downtown Chicago and Northbrook, Illinois. He earned his MD from Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine, where he also completed his clinical plastic surgery fellowship. His signature procedure is the BYUN Muscle Repair Facelift, a deep plane technique built on an 'Up and In' vector, with variants spanning vertical, reverse, and Fibonacci facelifts. He previously served as a research adviser at UC Irvine's Department of Neurobiology and at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, and sits on a Biomedical Engineering board at Northwestern. He has developed TGF-beta-based skincare products and has been featured by NBC, ABC, FOX, Newsweek, and the Chicago Tribune.
