About Meredith Sweeney

Meredith Sweeney, MD, FACS is the founder and sole physician of Sano Longevity, which she opened in Louisville, Kentucky in March 2025. She earned her MD at the University of Illinois Chicago, completed a general surgery residency from 2006 to 2011 and a fellowship in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery from 2011 to 2012. She is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. She practiced as a bariatric surgeon at Norton Healthcare from 2014 to 2024, where the practice site states she performed approximately 1,000 bariatric surgeries, started the robotic general surgery program and rewrote the hospital's pre- and post-operative nutrition protocols. She personally manages all hormone therapy dosing and adjustments at the practice.
