About Melissa Trotman
Melissa Trotman, CRNP is the owner and nurse practitioner of Vital You Functional Medicine in Annapolis, Maryland. She spent more than 15 years as a nurse practitioner at Johns Hopkins Hospital and continues to provide care for cardiology patients at Sinai Hospital. Her move into functional medicine followed her own experience of chronic illness whose root causes went unaddressed by conventional care, and her subsequent recovery through breast cancer treatment. She holds a master's degree from the University of Maryland and is an Institute for Functional Medicine Certified Practitioner. She has advanced training in mistletoe therapy, anthroposophic medicine and the metabolic approach to cancer, which underpins the practice's integrative cancer care line.
